Five of Wands

Five young men flail at each other with long staves in an open field — or possibly all miss each other on purpose. No one is wounded; everyone is loud; nothing is decided.

★ Upright

The Five of Wands is friction in the workshop — competition, debate, five agendas and one field. Upright, it reads the scuffle as mostly productive: rivalry sharpens, disagreement stress-tests ideas, and nobody is actually bleeding. Compete cleanly and let the noise surface the best plan. Just notice when sparring stops producing anything but noise.

♺ Reversed

Reversed, the melee either resolves or goes underground: conflict avoided until it festers, or a truce that finally lets work resume. It counsels picking real battles — and airing the buried disagreement before it stops being a game.
