Eight of Pentacles

★ Upright
The Eight of Pentacles is craft in progress — repetition chosen on purpose, skill sharpening coin by coin. Upright, it favors training, certification, refinement, and the unglamorous hours that make mastery look sudden later. The city can wait; the bench is where the future is being cut.
♺ Reversed
Reversed, the bench has problems: corners cut, repetition without improvement, perfectionism polishing one coin forever, or talent wasted on work unworthy of it. Either recommit to the standard or admit the apprenticeship is aimed at the wrong trade.
