Five of Pentacles
Two ragged figures — one on crutches, one wrapped in a thin shawl — struggle through falling snow past a lit stained-glass window bearing five pentacles. They do not look up at it.
★ Upright
The Five of Pentacles is the cold season: financial loss, illness, exclusion, the feeling of being left outside while others are warm. Upright, it does not minimize the hardship — but it does point at the window. Help, company, or shelter is closer than the storm makes it look. The suffering is real; so is the door you haven't knocked on.
♺ Reversed
Reversed, the thaw begins: recovery from loss, new work after a dry spell, or finally accepting the help that pride refused. It marks the end of a hard passage — provided you actually come in from the snow instead of circling the church to prove a point.
