The Magician

A robed figure stands at a table bearing a cup, a sword, a pentacle, and a wand — one tool from every suit. One hand raises a white staff to heaven, the other points to the earth, and above his head floats the infinity sign. Roses and lilies grow thick around the table.

★ Upright

The Magician is applied willpower. Everything needed is already on the table; the card's message is that talent, resources, and timing are aligned and waiting on your decision to act. It favors skilled work, persuasion, launches, and any moment where focus turns an idea into something real. As above, so below — what you concentrate on, you create.

♺ Reversed

Inverted, the same talents bend toward manipulation or scatter into tricks. The reversed Magician can be a con artist in the situation — sometimes another person, sometimes your own self-deception — or simply potential leaking away through distraction and half-started projects. Gather the tools back onto one table.
